All eyes on the Florida Legislature
Each year, Florida elected officials convene in Tallahassee to consider dozens of bills that will impact Floridians and the natural environment. The 60-day session offers lawmakers the chance to chart a powerful and impactful course for issues like water quality, conservation, and environmental justice. But it also leaves the door open for bad bills and special interest influence.
Just a couple weeks into the 2022 Florida Legislative session, we’re tracking several bad bills that threaten Florida’s fragile waterways, and a few silver linings that are giving us hope. During this Clean Water Conversation, VoteWater Executive Director Gil Smart will join Friends of the Everglades Executive Director Eve Samples for a conversation breaking down a highlights reel of the worst of the worst and the most optimistic.
Please join us noon-1 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, on Facebook or YouTube for a live discussion.
